Word to the Wise

Greetings folks! This is my first post here and I go by the handle of Da Hipstah.

I’ll be stopping by to give a Street perspective on the blogosphere from time to time. Hopefully, I can offer a tip or two to help out the cause. Here’s one.

Often times it can seem difficult to get through to liberals and democrats. It’s hard to connect. But here is a tip that may help you out. Many Dems that use the blogosphere to communicate may be younger than you and many live in cities and other place where pop culture is pervasive.

So here’s the tip – try adopting the lingo. For example you can indicate your admiration for John McCain like this:

J-Mac iz 1 kewl dood!

Boo-Ya.

This type of banter tends loosens up many liberals and may make them more receptive to outreach. From there you can go into an area of mutual interest like the environment. McCain has an excellent record on the environment which is important to liberals.

Then try something like this:

J-Mac gonna pop a cap in2 co2 emissions when he prez. Da pollutah gonna pay or J-Mac gonna cap them too. Word!

Boo-Ya.

Well this is the tip for today. Remember this blogging thing takes some getting used to. But be patient and persevere!
